Artist Trading Card (ATC) Gallery

"Though she be but little, she is fierce."
-Shakespeare

Miniature art has enticed people for centuries across the globe, and now it can be enjoyed in a novel, collaborative form via (Artist Trading Card) ATC Mini Galleries!

The rule is "Trade, don't take." If you have seen a Little Lending Library, it's a similar concept, except that free ATC art is being traded instead of free books.

They are a non-digital, non-scrolling, non-AI, tangible art experience that brings joy via community art appreciation and inspiration, as well as promoting traditional art creation and local participation.

So take a look to add some creative whimsy to your day, with the option to become a participating artist for free! ATC Galleries feature standard Artist Trading Card (ATC) size traditional, handmade artworks in any 2D art media at 2.5" x 3.5" only. No art prints, original artwork only. You will be familiar with this convenient standard size if you know of the free, global ATC art movement or have collected or traded baseball cards, comic cards, fantasy game cards, or playing cards. This will not include ACEOs, which are sold and not traded for other cards.

To join in, simply bring your own ATC art creation and swap it for one of the ATCs already displayed in the ATC Gallery. Sign and date your ATC if desired, but provide no contact info or links or QR codes—ATC Galleries are not for self-promotion, but for communal art viewing and local art trading. (Any cards with self-promotion will be removed from the gallery & put onto the promo bulletin board.)

Drawing and painting small is fast, fun, and addictive! Be loose and abstract, or detailed and precious, all paths lead to little art gems! Creative practice at smaller sizes is low pressure, not overwhelming, and leaves you feeling productive, more comfortable exploring various techniques and art materials, and creatively satisfied. Visit an ATC Gallery at Lenz Arts (where you can also buy ATC blanks to make your own mini, gallery ready art!) or at SCAL (the Santa Cruz Art League), let's see where else they pop up, and let the mini art adventures begin!
